Also, according to a user, to prevent the microwave from rusting, users should use a dry towel after use, then leave the door open for about 1 hour. This method can reduce the humidity in the microwave.

Some other things that can also cause sparks to appear when using a microwave that users need to pay attention to when using include gold foil, silver foil, metal tableware; metal bowls, metal utensils; aluminum foil, aluminum cans, aluminum tape, aluminum bags or beer/soft drink cans.
