Which older Samsung phones get One UI 6.1 update with AI features?

Samsung is expanding the reach of its advanced AI features to more devices through the new One UI 6.1 update.

Galaxy AI is an artificial intelligence (AI)-based feature set first introduced on the Galaxy S24 series. With the new One UI 6.1 update, Samsung is starting to expand the AI feature set to more devices, helping users enjoy a smart and convenient experience.

According to sources, the One UI 6.1 update is currently being deployed for the first time in Korea for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S21, Z Flip4, Z Fold4, Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 series. Samsung phone users in other regions will soon receive the update, a move in line with the company's goal of bringing Galaxy AI to more than 100 million devices by the end of 2024.

However, it should be noted that after the update, not all devices will be able to fully utilize AI features. For example, the Galaxy S21 or Z Flip3 will only be able to use the Circle to Search feature (draw to search), Generative Photo Editing (creative photo editing).

Galaxy Z Fold3 is considered a pioneer device in taking full advantage of AI features implemented in Samsung's new One UI 6.1 update. This phone line will possess the most comprehensive set of AI features, including website summary, note summary, Live Translate (direct call content translation), Generative Photo Editing (creative photo editing), Interpreter Mode (interpreter mode) and transcribe speech in the recording application.

Similarly, users of the Galaxy S22, Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 series phones will also receive full functions of Galaxy AI.

It is expected that users of old Samsung phones will soon experience AI features in the coming weeks. Users can update One UI 6.1 by accessing Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
