OnePlus' new tablet model is equipped with a powerful processor, a high-end screen and provides a very realistic writing experience.
OnePlus has just officially launched its first high-end Android tablet model, called OnePlus Pad 2. The device is considered a gentle upgrade compared to its predecessor and is also the international version of the model. OnePlus Pad Pro launched in China last month.
This device has a similar design to the OnePlus Pad Pro model with a 12.1-inch IPS LCD screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and has a 9,510 mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging but does not come with a charger in the box.
OnePlus Pad 2 is equipped with a 12.1-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 3000 x 2120 pixels and an impressive 144Hz refresh rate. This screen uses a 7:5 aspect ratio and has a maximum brightness of 900 nits, so the display quality is quite good. The screen also supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision content and comes with ultra-thin bezels that are balanced on all sides.
OnePlus' tablet also has a quality 6-speaker system and supports the OnePlus Stylo 2 stylus as well as a keyboard to help users work more efficiently and have great entertainment moments.
In particular, the Stylo 2 stylus introduced by OnePlus will bring an experience on OnePlus Pad 2 like writing on real paper, according to The Verge.
The new Stylo 2 is now made of leatherette material, providing better grip, pressure sensitivity increased from 4,096 to 16,000, and an actuator controller and internal linear motor that help the pen tip vibrate, creating create the most authentic feeling of writing.
OnePlus Pad 2 maintains a monolithic metal frame design and a circular camera cluster on the back. The device comes with a dual camera system with a 13MP main sensor and an 8MP secondary sensor. On the front, the device is equipped with a 16MP selfie camera.
Inside, OnePlus Pad 2 is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Qualcomm's newest and most powerful chip at the moment, comes with options of 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal memory. The device also has Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.
The device runs OxygenOS 14 operating system based on Android 14, integrating many smart AI features to support work, including AI text reading (AI Speak), AI text summarization (AI Summarise), AI text writing (AI Writer). Besides, the Open Canvas feature from the OnePlus Open application is also integrated on this device.
In addition, the device also has clipboard sync and notification sync features as well as AI tricks like AI Eraser 2.0 to handle photo editing and Smart Cutout 2.0 to combine photos and stickers, as well as AI Summary.
The standard version of OnePlus Pad 2 starts at 39,999 Rupees in the Indian market, the most advanced version costs 42,999 Rupees. The device has only one-color option: Nimbus Gray.
