AirPods Pro 3 to launch in September, likely with new chip and improved design.
Apple is preparing for the launch of AirPods Pro 3 in September, around the same time as the iPhone 17 series. Although AirPods Pro 2 is still being improved through software updates, this new hardware version promises to bring many outstanding features.
New H3 Chip.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the AirPods Pro 3 will feature a brand new H3 chip. While some of Apple’s chips typically offer only minor improvements, the AirPods Pro’s H1 chip was three years old before the H2 was introduced.
The wait has led to significant upgrades to the H-series chips. The H2 chip improved the audio experience and doubled the noise cancellation capabilities of the previous generation. With the H3 chip, users can expect many new features and improved battery life.
New design.
Gurman also said that the AirPods Pro 3 will have a new design, although specific details have not been announced. While we don't expect major changes, there may be some minor tweaks to the size and fit.
Noise Cancellation Upgrade.
One of the highlights of the AirPods Pro 2 is the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) feature. According to reports, the AirPods Pro 3 will have an improved ANC feature, promising a better experience thanks to the H3 chip.
New Health Features.
While details are limited, Gurman did reveal that Apple is working on a number of health features for future AirPods, including heart rate monitoring and temperature sensors. Heart rate monitoring could be integrated into the AirPods Pro 3.
