Leaked renders reveal the design of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold7 foldable smartphone alongside the Galaxy Z Flip7 this summer. The first set of renders of the Galaxy Z Fold7 has been leaked, providing an overview of the design of the device. Although this is a CAD model and some details may change, it shows that Samsung is pursuing the trend of ultra-thin design for foldable smartphones.
According to GSMArena, the Galaxy Z Fold7 will not surpass the thinness of its rival OPPO, but it still has a design that is not too thick. Specifically, the device will be 4.5mm thick when opened and 9.5mm when folded, including the camera protrusion. If this protrusion is not counted, the actual thickness will be close to 9mm. For comparison, the OPPO Find N5 currently holds the record with a thickness of 4.2mm when opened and 8.9mm when folded.
In terms of size, the Galaxy Z Fold7 measures 158.4 x 143.1 mm when unfolded, which is slightly larger than its predecessor. This could result in a wider aspect ratio for the outer display. However, the battery capacity of the Galaxy Z Fold7 is still only 4,400 mAh, a modest number compared to Chinese competitors, which can equip batteries up to 5,600 mAh for similar devices.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 is equipped with an 8.2-inch inner screen and a 6.5-inch outer screen, along with a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip. In terms of photography, the main camera will be upgraded to a 200MP sensor, combined with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 10MP telephoto camera that supports 3x optical zoom. The selfie camera remains the same with a 4MP under-screen camera and a 10MP camera on the outer screen.
The launch of the Galaxy Z Fold7 promises to bring many interesting things to consumers who love foldable smartphone technology.
