Actress Cindyana Santangelo, dubbed the 'Latin Marilyn Monroe', died in California, USA, after being rushed to the emergency room, on March 24.
At around 7pm on Monday, police received an emergency call from Cindyann's home in Malibu. Medical staff then took the 58-year-old actress to the hospital, where she was confirmed dead.
The cause of her death has not been released and an autopsy is underway. According to TMZ, Los Angeles police are investigating after Cindyana was found to have recently received cosmetic injections at home. Authorities have ruled out murder.
Cindyana Santangelo was born in New York, USA, and attended the USC School of Film and Television. She is best known for her role as Sierra Madre, a dancer, in Married with Children. She also starred in the Hollywood action-comedy Homicide alongside Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett. The actress has also appeared in the film The Adventures of Ford Fairlane, the TV series CSI: Miami and ER.
In 1989, Cindyana Santangelo danced in Young MC's music video for "Bust a Move." A year later, Cindyana's voice opened for the rock band Jane's Addiction's song "Stop." The band's lead singer, Perry Farrell, called her the "Latin Marilyn Monroe" for her classic movie-star looks in an interview with Spin magazine.
The actress has two sons. Last month, she celebrated her son Dante's 20th birthday on Instagram with a photo of her and her children, captioning it: "These boys are everything to me."
