Analysts continue to make predictions about Apple Silicon chips, foldable iPhones, and components of the iPhone 17 series.
Recently, famous analyst Jeff Pu shared a report that reaffirms several rumors, including Ming-Chi Kuo's previous report that all iPhone 17 models will feature Apple's custom Wi-Fi chip.
Apple launched the C1 modem in the iPhone 16e in February 2025. Previous rumors suggested that the C1 would be limited to Apple's iPhone 17 Slim (or iPhone 17 Air), but the new Wi-Fi chip with Wi-Fi 7 support will be used in all new iPhone models. Ming-Chi Kuo had previously speculated about the switch to in-house chips from October 2024.
The analyst also said that an 18.8-inch foldable MacBook will appear along with a 7.8-inch foldable iPhone. TSMC's N3P-based M5 chip will also be used in the A19 chip - expected for the iPhone 18.
The A20 chip for the iPhone 19 was also mentioned, which will be manufactured on a 2nm process. He also shared that the iPhone 18 Pro will have a C2 modem.
Regarding the iPhone 17's selfie camera, Jeff Pu reported that the camera will have a resolution of 24 megapixels, which was previously rumored by Ming-Chi Kuo. This upgrade will help the front camera take better photos than previous iPhone models.
These rumors are all likely to happen and are making iFan extremely excited. Apple is expected to reveal the iPhone 17 series in September. Let's wait and see what surprises the company will bring to fans.
