School Of Rock actor Nicky Katt, 54, was found hanged in his rented home in Los Angeles on April 8.
According to TMZ, the landlord found Nicky Katt's body in the apartment. Five days earlier, the landlord had gone to meet with the actor to discuss overdue rent. When he returned, he found the apartment door open and Katt hanging in the bedroom.
Katt's attorney, John Sloss, broke the sad news on Saturday. TMZ sources said Katt had been dead for more than a day before he was discovered, with no suicide note found at the scene.
On April 14, his sister confirmed that Nicky Katt had died of depression. "Today, with a heavy heart, I share the devastating news of my brother's passing. He took his own life after battling depression - an illness he fought bravely but quietly," Katt's sister, Elise Ravenscroft, told Deadline on Monday.
