The design, studded with thousands of Swarovski crystals, was meticulously layered and made by designer Do Long's team in nearly 200 hours, helping model Nhu Van win the Miss Global 2025 crown in Thailand on the evening of March 9.
Surpassing 60 girls from around the world, Nguyen Dinh Nhu Van was crowned Miss Global 2025 in the final round in Bangkok. The beauty was born in 1991, from Lam Dong, and is a single mother of two daughters: Bao Bao (15 years old), Gia Gia (6 years old).
The Vietnamese beauty was praised for her charm and outstanding appearance in a metallic outfit with many openings and a floor-length skirt. The tight-fitting design made of see-through material helped her exploit her impressive curves.

Talking to Ngoi Sao, designer Do Long said that the dress was designed by him and stylist Phong Truong, inspired by the 'Goddess of Light'. The team applied the technique of manually attaching thousands of Swarovski crystals, sequins, and beads on a transparent mesh fabric. In addition, the figure-hugging outfit is also highlighted by the intricately pleated mermaid tail, creating a halo-like effect.
According to Do Long, the most complicated and time-consuming steps are the crystal embellishment, pleating, and shaping of the skirt. "The dress has a transparent bodice, hugs the body with meticulous embroidery details, requiring skill to maintain firmness and sophistication. The skirt is processed with many layers of elaborate pleated fabric, making it difficult to shape to keep it flowing and soft but still fixed according to the design," he said.
In the eyes of the 8X fashion designer, Nhu Van has a beautiful body, perfect curves, and is toned. This is also an advantage when wearing boldly cut clothes, showing off her figure.
"The moment Nhu Van was announced as Miss Global 2025, I felt very proud and happy. We are close friends so I know this is Van's long-time dream. She has tried very hard for today's success," Do Long shared his feelings about the 34-year-old model's victory.
