Touching Story: American TV Star Face Disfigured Due to Rare Disease, Falling into Financial Crisis.

Actress and model Brandi Glanville said she has spent more than $113,000. On diagnosis and treatment for a strange disease that causes her face to become concave and deformed.

In an interview with Us Weekly this week, Brandi Glanville revealed her financial and health exhaustion: "I'm out of money, I don't have any means to go anywhere at this time. I'm just online, immersed in many directions. It's very tiring and time-consuming."

Brandi Glanville was left with a disfigured face due to a mysterious illness she suspects is caused by a parasite.

The 52-year-old star has been dealing with an unexplained medical condition that has left her with a disfigured face for nearly two years. She has spent more than $100,000 trying to find a treatment for the strange condition that is not covered by her health insurance.

"I just want to find a doctor who can help me," Glanville said, noting that she has not received any answers or a definitive diagnosis. "It's not just me; it's other women and men who are going through this. Some of them have reached out to me. I empathize with them, I understand what they're going through and the stress they're under... It feels like everything is going to explode. I'm exhausted."

Glanville has tried multiple treatments and met with different specialists to try to diagnose and find the specific cause so that she can come up with a treatment plan, including a top infectious disease doctor and allergist. She had previously suspected a parasitic infection but had not received a definitive diagnosis. Doctors then advised the actress to see a dentist. However, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds failed to reveal anything internal that was destroying her face.

"It was moving down my body, like it was in my neck, down my left shoulder and arm," she added. "I had to get up, I had to stretch, I had to get in a hot tub. It was a daily routine, and it was bad."

The former model's strange illness began in 2023 when she was hospitalized for angioedema, a condition in which the tissue under the skin swells. She then developed painful lumps in her jaw, neck, and back of her head. Last December, Brandi told ET that she believed her health problems stemmed from her time in Morocco filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. Glanville thought she had contracted a strange parasite and felt it moving across her face.

Focusing on her deteriorating health, Brandi Glanville withdrew from the spotlight and social activities. She felt isolated, like during COVID-19,  and felt like she was in prison. Brandi said she had not dated or hung out with friends for months and felt like she was losing herself.

The Beverly Hills Housewives star recently started using Cellsound therapy, an advanced facial and body contouring method that regenerates the skin, stimulates collagen growth, and eliminates excess fat cells. She also took antibiotics and participated in stem cell treatment with Dr. Joy Kong. "After treatment with Dr. Kong, I felt more energetic. I felt better even though my appearance did not improve," she said.

While continuing to search for answers to her health issues, Brandi Glanville recorded and released the song Remedy. Making music helped her feel better and connected to the world.
