The Nikon Z 8 camera has just been launched with a 46MP sensor, supporting extremely high-quality 8K60 video recording.
The Nikon Z 8 mirrorless camera is now officially available, combining professional features with a compact and portable body.
The Nikon Z 8 joins Nikon's growing line of mirrorless cameras, slotting between the Z 7II and the high-end Z9. Designed as a successor to the Nikon D850, the Nikon Z 8 is a true "god of war".
The camera incorporates a full-frame 45.7MP FX-format stacked sensor, powered by Nikon's EXPEED 7 processor, delivering scanning speeds fast enough to eliminate a mechanical shutter. This is the same sensor found in the Nikon Z 9.
Other key features of the camera include: 12-bit RAW video recording at up to 8K (60FPS), a powerful autofocus system, and an electronic viewfinder (EVF). The camera is also 30% smaller than the Nikon Z 9.
Said Mr. Jay Vannatter, Executive Vice President, Nikon Inc. "With the continued release of more Z series cameras and NIKKOR Z lenses, Nikon will step up and continue to break new ground in optical and technological innovation."
In terms of video recording capabilities, the Nikon Z 8 can record 8K video at 60 fps, 4K video at 120 fps, as well as other resolutions and frame rates. In terms of shooting speed, the camera can continuously shoot up to 125 photos at 4K resolution and about 90 photos at 8K resolution.
