According to the latest report, the iPhone 16 Pro screen will be larger and have thinner screen borders, but it is unlikely to have a higher price.
This year, Apple will make its iPhone Pro line more different by equipping them with larger screens. Instead of having 6.1 inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes like its predecessor, the iPhone 16 generation will have 4 different screen sizes.
According to analysts and leaked CAD diagrams of the size, the iPhone 16 Pro will be equipped with a 6.27-inch OLED screen and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch screen. In terms of specifications, iPhone 16 Pro will have a 6.3-inch screen and iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 6.85-inch screen.

To achieve a 0.2-inch screen diagonal increase, Apple asked the main screen suppliers of the iPhone 16 Pro series - Samsung and LG to apply a "border reduction structure".
This will happen to the bottom bezel, which houses the screen control circuit. Therefore, cutting down the bottom bezel will be the most difficult part of the job for LG and Samsung. Both companies even believe that it is impossible to increase production capacity further due to increasingly strict screen production requirements.
iPhone 16 Pro is not expected to increase in price.
In particular, LG is looking to cut production costs because it cannot rely on economies of scale like Samsung. According to a report by The Elec, the company has diversified its display control circuit suppliers. Instead of relying on just one chip manufacturer, LG found a second supplier - Novatek.
Supplier diversification will allow LG to produce screens more cheaply while still complying with Apple's manufacturing standards. For Apple, this will help the company control costs and offer the iPhone 16 Pro line at the same price as the iPhone 15 Pro despite having a larger screen.
