Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 16 series around September but rumors about them are already everywhere.
A previous rumor suggested that the MagSafe ring on the back of the iPhone 16 series will be thinner. Then there were rumors that this year's iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models would have a vertically arranged camera module. In particular, the iPhone 16 Pro is rumored to have a larger camera sensor to bring a 5x optical zoom lens - previously only available on Max models. Additionally, all iPhone 16 models have a dedicated Capture button for the camera.
Now, a new report suggests that the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max variants will bring significantly faster charging speeds. Specifically, they will support 40W (wired) or 20W (MagSafe) fast charging capability. It is known that all 4 current iPhone 15 models support fast wired charging up to 27W with compatible chargers and 15W for MagSafe charging.
The screen border on iPhone 16 models is also expected to be thinner this year, to the point of being said to be the thinnest on any smartphone. This will give more screen space to all variants. In addition, Apple is expected to supply Samsung's M14 OLED panels for the high-end iPhone 16 duo, which means better image quality than the OLED panels found in the Galaxy S24 series.
Finally, Apple is expecting iPhone 16 mass sales to be outstanding this year. As a result, the company has increased chip orders and expects sales of this product series to exceed 100 million units.
