Singer Jennifer Lopez has just bought a large house in Hidden Hills, Los Angeles as her new home after finalizing her divorce from Ben Affleck.
According to TMZ, the mansion was once listed for sale for $21 million. It is not clear how much Jennifer Lopez paid for it, but sources say the singer got a "great deal". The house previously belonged to rocker John Fogerty and before that, Rambo actor Sylvester Stallone.
The property is 2.5 acres (more than 10,000 m2), of which the main house is 933 m2. In addition, there is a guest house, a barn, a stable, a riding arena, and a swimming pool. The house is equipped with many amenities such as a movie theater, a large kitchen, a gym, etc.
Jennifer Lopez has been looking for a house for the past six months, since she broke up with Ben Affleck last summer. The 55-year-old star has been seen looking at many properties in Los Angeles. The news of J.Lo buying a new house was published by the American press right after she officially divorced and became legally single on February 21.
J.Lo and Ben’s former home, worth more than $60 million, is currently unsold. The former couple put the property up for sale in June 2024, and a buyer offered $64 million in December, but the deal fell through.
Meanwhile, Ben Affleck bought his own home in Pacific Palisades, near his first wife, actress Jennifer Garner, a few months ago. Ben wanted to live near Garner to take care of their three children. The house was in the area of the Los Angeles wildfire last month but luckily survived.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck owned their own home before getting married in 2022, then both sold their homes to buy a mansion together in 2023. However, the couple's marriage did not last long. In August 2024, J.Lo filed for divorce in court, on their second wedding anniversary. While Ben moved out of their shared home in May 2024, J.Lo stayed until earlier this year.
