Redmi K80 Ultra will have a battery larger than 7.000 mAh.

Redmi K80 Ultra will be equipped with a battery capacity exceeding 7,000 mAh, promising a more impressive user experience than ever.

According to blogger @DigitalChatStation, Redmi's next flagship, the K80 Ultra, is expected to be equipped with MediaTek's Dimensity 9400+ chipset. The highlight of this device may be the very high-capacity battery, said to exceed 7,000 mAh, marking a big step up from previously launched K80 versions.

Redmi K80 Ultra will have a battery larger than 7.000 mAh.

Specifically, the current K80 and K80 Pro both have batteries with a capacity of 6,000 mAh. While the K80 has a capacity of 6,550 mAh with 90W charging, the Pro model has a 6,000 mAh battery but supports 120W fast charging.

Compared to its predecessor K70 Ultra, which only has a 5,500 mAh battery, upgrading the battery capacity to more than 7,000 mAh allows the K80 Ultra to deliver more impressive usage time. Despite having a larger battery, the K80 Ultra still supports 100W fast charging, ensuring significant charging speed. The device is also expected to have a 1.5K resolution screen with a super-narrow four-sided flat screen design, likely an OLED panel.

In terms of design, the K80 Ultra has a metal frame in the middle and may use “single-point ultrasonic wave” technology, suggesting an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner that promises higher accuracy and reliability than current optical solutions.

Redmi launched the K70 Ultra, powered by the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset, in July 2024, suggesting that the K80 Ultra could be introduced around the same time this year. In addition, iQOO, Realme, and OnePlus are also preparing to launch smartphones using the Dimensity 9400+, with models tentatively named iQOO Neo 10S Pro, Realme Neo 7 Pro, and OnePlus Ace 5s.
