Alpha 1 II is equipped with a 50.1MP sensor, continuous shooting speed up to 30fps.
Sony has just launched the Alpha 1 II camera line equipped with a 50.1MP sensor, continuous shooting speed up to 30fps (frames per second) without blackout with full AF/AE tracking (autofocus/exposure), anti-distortion shutter, and improved image clarity at mid and high sensitivities. The AI processor brings advanced subject recognition and a new "Auto" mode with the ability to recognize a variety of subjects.
In addition, the Alpha 1 II inherits groundbreaking features from the Alpha 9 III, including a 1-second Pre-Capture function and improved ergonomics. The camera remains compact and lightweight at just 743 grams, making it suitable for use in a wide range of professional working environments.
The Alpha 1 II produces high-quality images with a wide dynamic range through the combination of a full frame stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor with a resolution of 50.1MP and the latest BIONZ XR image processor. The camera achieves high resolution even in APS-C crop mode, with details up to 21MP.
Sony's new camera enables complex movements to be captured with AF/AE calculation speeds of up to 120fps, and Continuous Shooting Speed Boost can temporarily change the camera's continuous shooting speed.
In addition, the Real-time Recognition AF feature has been integrated into the Alpha 1 II through the AI processor. This technology allows for maintaining focus on the subject, including human figures for instant recognition of the head and limbs, as well as focusing on animals, birds, insects and vehicles. The next improved version of Real-time Recognition AF with a new "Auto" mode allows the camera to automatically recognize the subject without having to manually set it up.
Not stopping there, the Alpha 1 II also has an impressive optical image stabilization system equivalent to 8.5 stops (center area) and 7 stops (edge area) when shooting stills, as well as Dynamic Active Mode when shooting video.
The camera is equipped with a 3.2-inch LCD screen with a 4-axis Vari-angle tilt mechanism. The second-generation body improves on the Alpha 1 in terms of ergonomics, including a refined grip, improved shutter button placement, and customizable buttons. The Alpha 1 II comes with the BC-ZD1 dual battery charger, which can quickly and reliably charge two Z batteries (codenamed NP-FZ100) at the same time, fully charging in 155 minutes.
The Sony Alpha 1 II camera is officially priced at 6,116.37 US Dollars.
