Ben Stiller makes people laugh with 'stage accident' at Oscars 2025.

Comedian Ben Stiller created a hilarious moment when he tried to climb onto the Oscar stage to present an award while the podium was 'malfunctioning'.

Ben Stiller was invited to present the Production Design award at the 2025 Oscars in Los Angeles on the morning of March 3, Hanoi time. He made the hall laugh when he appeared from behind the stage on a raised platform. However, the platform got stuck, forcing the 59-year-old comedian to struggle to lift his head to speak.

"Production designers are the ones who bring the visual world of a screenplay to life. One small mistake can make the audience lose faith and embarrass the actors on screen," Ben introduced, lurking behind the stage and unable to step onto the podium.

As the podium was lowered, the comedian continued to talk about the role of production designers in handling everything from details to technical challenges and coordinating with the director to create the desired image on screen. Finally, Ben had to jump to finish his speech: "Here! Here! The nominees! Production Design Award!"

The actor was then lifted high and rolled onto the stage to present the award to Wicked musical designers Nathan Crowley and Lee Sandales.

The comedian jumped on stage to read out the results of the 'Production Design' award.

According to Decider, the stage mishap was a joke, with Ben Stiller's humorous and professional performance, combined with the juggling of the audience. The skit added to the entertainment of the show and illustrated the importance of production design in ensuring everything went according to plan. Additionally, Ben Stiller was honored for his performance set to the famous comedy Night At the Museum. This was arguably one of the most interesting moments at this year's Oscars.
