The relationship between F1 racer Lewis Hamilton and Sofia Vergara, who is 13 years his senior, was just beginning but is said to have ended after Hamilton showed indifference.
The pair were spotted having lunch together in New York in January, sparking dating rumors. According to RadarOnline, the two have gone their separate ways. Vergara had wanted to take things further with Hamilton, calling him her "perfect boyfriend".
However, the Formula 1 driver appears to have lost interest, leaving Vergara feeling "abandoned". They still keep in touch "occasionaly", but "it's mostly Vergara who initiates". The source said: "She's the one who keeps in touch hoping the relationship will progress, but there's been little reciprocation."
When rumours of the two-dating surfaced earlier this year, neither Lewis Hamilton nor Sofia Vergara commented. However, TMZ and Us Weekly reported that it was not a romantic date, just a casual lunch between friends. Page Six, citing sources close to the pair, said they both thought the large age gap would get in the way of a romance.
Hamilton previously had an on-again, off-again relationship with Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger. The couple split in 2016. Hamilton has not had any serious relationships since then but has been rumoured to have dated a string of beauties including supermodel Gigi Hadid and pop stars Rihanna and Shakira.
Hamilton now appears to be single again and is focusing on his season with Ferrari. The seven-time world champion had a difficult start in Australia, finishing 10th. At the Chinese Grand Prix on March 23, the British star finished 6th. Hamilton is currently ninth in the standings, 35 points behind leader Lando Norris.
