Legendary golfer Tiger Woods has confirmed that he is dating the ex-daughter-in-law of US President Donald Trump, nearly two weeks after the media revealed that they were secretly dating.
"Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side!", the golfer, born in 1975, captioned two photos taken with Vanessa, 47, posted on his personal page on March 23. "We look forward to our journey together. For now, we wish to have privacy for our loved ones," Tiger Woods added.
A source told Page Six earlier this month that the couple's relationship was getting serious. "They have a lot in common. They're both used to public scrutiny. They're both private. They're both parents," a source close to the couple said.
The source said Tiger Woods and Vanessa were initially friends before they became romantically involved. "They're a good match; they're cool, they want to avoid drama, they share a lot of the same values," the source explained, adding that the sports star "has always tried to date girls who aren't right for him."
Following the news, another source said that President Donald Trump supported his ex-daughter-in-law dating Tiger Woods. Vanessa's ex-husband, Don Jr, also reacted positively to her new love. Tiger Woods also informed his ex-wife about the love affair before the dating rumors broke out.
"Don also knows that his father, President Trump, has great respect for Tiger and they get along very well, so he is completely supportive. Obviously, he has dated other people since the split, so as long as Tiger treats Vanessa and their children well, he is okay with it," the source said.
Vanessa was married to Don Jr. from 2005 to 2018. They have five children, the eldest of whom, Kai, 17, attends the same school as Tiger Woods' two children.
