Actor Ben Affleck praised his ex-wife, singer Jennifer Lopez, and revealed their bond after their divorce in an interview on April 16.
On the red carpet for The Accountant 2 in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Ben Affleck shared about his recently divorced wife: "Jennifer Lopez is a wonderful person. She's great with my kids and has a great relationship with them. I love her kids, they're lovely. Jen has always been a very important, upstanding person that I respect and appreciate." The 52-year-old star said Jennifer Lopez's children, 17-year-old twins Max and Emme, came to the premiere with his own kids to support their ex-stepfather. "It was a great night. I'm so happy that my kids are here and Jen's kids are here. I'm proud of the movie and happy that all the kids are here," Ben confided to ET.
Ben Affleck has three children with his first wife, actress Jennifer Garner: Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13. When ET asked him how nice it is to have the whole family together and maintain a good relationship, Ben agreed. "I don't read a lot of things online, but sometimes I feel like people are looking for negative things to say," he added. "I've always tried to be a good father. I'm happy that my kids are here with me, and I love watching this movie. Being able to bond with my kids is the joy of my life." Last month, Ben Affleck spoke for the first time about his divorce from Jennifer Lopez. In an interview with GQ magazine, the actor said there was no scandal or drama behind their split. "I have complete respect for her. I guess people tend to look at breakups and want to figure out the root cause. But the truth is much more normal than what people think," he explained.
Ben and J.Lo got married in July 2022 and had their wedding ceremony a month later. Exactly two years later, J.Lo filed for divorce in Los Angeles court. The two stars finalized their divorce in February of this year after six months of amicable settlement. After the split, Ben and J.Lo were occasionally seen hanging out with their children.
