Former midfielder David Beckham and his wife Victoria did not publicly congratulate their eldest son Brooklyn and his wife on their third wedding anniversary on April 9.
They also did not "like" or comment on their son's post. In fact, no member of the Becks family publicly congratulated Brooklyn and Nicola, including Romeo, who is said to be at odds with his brother. Only youngest son Cruz and Grandmother Sandra "liked" Brooklyn's post celebrating his third wedding anniversary.
On their wedding anniversary, the Beck man and his wife of four years more revealed some photos from their wedding day three years ago, along with sweet messages. "Happy 3rd anniversary, my love. I love you with all my heart. I am so lucky to be with you every day and wake up next to your beautiful face. You are my whole world. I love you so much Nicola," Brooklyn wrote. The post attracted more than 162,000 "likes".
Nicola Peltz's post with a similar caption to Brooklyn's with photos from their wedding day also did not receive any congratulations from her husband's family.
The story gained more attention when Brooklyn posted a beautiful bouquet of flowers he received along with the message: "Dear Peltz and Brooklyn, happy anniversary! Love, Mom and Dad and Brothers".
Initially, the eldest Becks son only wrote a thank you message along with the photo, without specifying whether the flowers came from his parents or his wife's parents. But then Brooklyn deleted the photo and posted it again, this time clarifying that the flowers were sent by his wife's parents, Nelson and Claudia Peltz. "Thank you so much to my parents-in-law for these wonderful flowers. Love you," the 1999-born boy wrote.
Although it is unclear whether the Becks family sent gifts to Brooklyn and Peltz, if they did, they did not share them on social media, the Daily Mail reported. During the first two years of Brooklyn's marriage, both Becks and Vic publicly congratulated their children.
The lack of communication between the Becks and their son and daughter-in-law has fuelled speculation that their relationship may not be on good terms. They have not interacted online, and the pair has also seemingly avoided meeting in person.
At the end of March, Brooklyn and his wife were absent from their father's early 50th birthday party. Romeo and Cruz, along with girlfriends Kim Turnbull and Jackie Apostel, attended the star-studded party at Cipriani restaurant in Miami, but Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz were more than 2,000 miles away in Los Angeles. Sources close to the family say Brooklyn is trying to make a name for himself in the food industry, stressing that Becks and Vic knew their children would not attend.
The couple also did not travel to France to support Vic's new collection launch at Paris Fashion Week, as they have in previous years. Brooklyn and his wife did not post any congratulatory messages to their parents on either occasion.
Later, TMZ reported that Brooklyn and his brother Romeo had a conflict and stopped talking to each other because of Romeo's new girlfriend, Kim Turnbull. Sources said that Brooklyn had briefly dated Kim. The eldest Becks son was said to disapprove of his brother's love affair because he suspected Kim's motives for approaching Romeo. The youngest brother, Cruz, later denied that they were in love with the same girl. Page Six said that Brooklyn was getting closer to his wife's family and distancing himself from his own family.
Previously, right after Brooklyn's lavish wedding in 2022, Vic and daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz were rumored to have a rift related to the couple's wedding preparations. However, the two women were later said to have reconciled, building an image of a close-knit family.
