Kanye West opened up about having a baby with Kim Kardashian when they first started dating and the current state of their relationship in a bombshell interview on March 30.
"It was my fault. I didn't want to have a baby with this woman after two months of knowing her. But it wasn't God's plan," Kanye West said in an interview with DJ Akademiks posted on YouTube on Sunday.
The 44-year-old rapper mentioned his first child with Kim Kardashian, Northwest, who is nearly 12 years old. She was born in June 2013, after a year of dating. It wasn't until May 2014 that Kanye and Kim got married in a lavish ceremony in Italy. The couple went on to have three more children: Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5.
Kanye's comments raised eyebrows among many fans, as the rapper has always shown his love for his daughter Northwest. Some felt that Kanye was denying his past with Kim, despite their seven-year marriage and four children.
During the hour-long conversation, Kanye also touched on his heated battle with Kim. "I don't own my name and likeness, or at least 50-50 ownership of my children. So, what's joint custody?" The rapper alluded to his custody agreement with Kim when they divorced in 2021.
Kanye accused Kim and her family of controlling their famous children. Previously, in mid-March, the rapper also harshly criticized his ex-wife on X, claiming that "this white woman" and the "Kardashian gang" were controlling his black children.
Kanye's anger comes from Kim Kardashian's objection to his new song featuring daughter Northwest, rapper Diddy - who is currently in prison for sex trafficking - and the son of the infamous music mogul. Kanye is also angry that Kim let her daughter collaborate with 28-year-old rapper Playboi Carti.
Kanye West also accused his ex-mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, and accused Kris of signing a contract to release his daughter's sex tape. In another development in the interview, the rapper defended his "twin brother" Diddy despite the 55-year-old rapper's serious legal problems.

Inside, Kanye wore a T-shirt with Diddy's real name, Sean John, and a necklace with a Nazi symbol.
