Former Barca defender Gerard Piqué and girlfriend Clara Chia Martí are rumored to have broken up after three years together because someone else intervened.
On April 24, MC Adriana Dorronsoro revealed that "Piqué and his girlfriend have broken up" on the Vamos a ver program on the Telecinco channel. Dorronoro added that the reason for the two ending their relationship was not clear, but she "heard that a third party might be involved". Previously, rumors of Piqué having problems in his love life arose after he was seen with a red-haired woman in Miami recently.
Also on the program, journalist Pepe del Real gave another reason for Piqué and his girlfriend's breakup. According to him, it's not that the former Barca star has a new lover, but because the two have conflicting priorities. Clara Chia Marti is said to want to start a family, but Pique doesn't.
However, sources in Marca and Hola later said that Piqué and his girlfriend, who is 12 years younger, are still together, even having a close relationship after overcoming the "storm of public opinion".
