Princess Kate Middleton revives Baker Boy hat – 2025 fashion trend returns.

Wearing a dynamic outfit and a baker boy hat, the Princess of Wales is said to have contributed to the strong rise of this accessory style.

Kate Middleton's latest activities

In the two-minute video released by Kensington Palace, Kate walks with a group of scouts near Windermere Lake in the Lake District and talks about the importance of getting outdoors. She opts for a country-friendly look with a neutral colour palette and accents it with a baker boy hat that matches her jacket.

The baker boy was a popular accessory in the 2000s, popularised by stars like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. This year, it has made a comeback on the sets of new-generation supermodel Kendall Jenner, singer and actress Keke Palmer, and previously, actress Anne Hathaway. According to Vogue, this trend has gained more attention thanks to the "contributing contribution" of Prince William's wife.

Kate looks radiant in the newly released video.

Hanging out with the 10-15 year old Scouts, the mother of three wore an Emilia Wickstead turtleneck sweater ($755), paired with a Bella Hoskyns olive green bomber jacket ($509), G-Star cargo pants ($130) and Berghaus hiking shoes - a familiar accessory when she participates in outdoor activities. Kate accessorized her look with Spells of Love twisted hoop earrings, priced at £60.

In the video, the 43-year-old Princess said she has a deep emotional connection when spending time outdoors. "Nature is very meaningful to me because it is a place that helps me balance, find peace, and reconnect in a busy world," she expressed.

Kate has been co-chair of the Boy Scouts since 2020. This visit marked the first time she met Dwayne Fields, who took over the role of Scout leader from Bear Grylls in September 2024.
