Many streets and alleys in Hanoi are decorated with red flags with yellow stars and banners celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification, attracting tourists to come and have fun and check in.
Au Trieu Street, Hoan Kiem District, about 200 m long, has many red flags with yellow stars hanging high above. The street is located next to the Great Church, so it has attracted many domestic and foreign tourists to come and have fun and take photos in Hanoi in recent days.
On Doc Lap Street and in front of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, many people in Ao Dai holding the national flag stand and take souvenir photos outside the fence. The place is especially crowded on sunny days.
Foreign tourists enjoy wearing conical hats, holding the national flag, to taking photos with locals at Ba Dinh Square.
A hotel on Tong Dan Street hangs many flags on the balconies of the rooms. This place hangs flags every year on the occasion of April 30, attracting many young people to take photos.
Nguyen Quang Bich Street has many old French villas decorated with red flags, becoming a prominent destination since mid-April.
Alley 5/1 Tu Hoa Street, Tay Ho District, only about 1.5 m wide, also hangs flags on this occasion. The small alley with brick walls creates an ancient feeling suitable for checking in with Ao Dai and is sought after by many young people.
Alley 150 Yen Phu is decorated with flags and many banners. Here, the national flag is hung regularly, but on April 30, the alley is decorated with a map of the country and a slogan welcoming the 50th anniversary of reunification.
Le Thu Ha, 20 years old, traveled 11 km from Nam Tu Liem to the alley to take photos, choosing to go on a weekday so there are fewer people taking photos. ''I went to take pictures on a weekday, but there were still quite a lot of people coming,'' Ha said.
A group of five friends, Phuong Linh, 16, chose to wear ao dai, along with flags and hats. ''Because the distance was quite far, we had to leave early in the afternoon, hoping that there would be fewer people, making it easier to take pictures,'' Linh said.
Liu, 32, a Taiwanese tourist, was surprised by the colorful flag street on Au Trieu Street. ''The street has its own beauty that is hard to compare,'' Liu said.
Tourist attractions such as Hoa Lo Prison are also decorated with flags and flowers right at the entrance.
