The daughter of late model Anna Nicole Smith wore her mother's iconic dress and jewelry to an event in the US over the weekend.
Dannielynn Birkhead, the daughter of Anna Nicole Smith, honored her late mother by recreating one of her famous outfits. At a party during the Kentucky Derby, the teenager wore her mother's glamorous old dress.
"Dannielynn is wearing the dress Anna Nicole wore 21 years ago to this event. Life comes full circle," Dannielynn's father, photographer Larry Birkhead, shared on Instagram.
Dannielynn also said that she chose this beautiful dress for her mother. "This is the closest thing to feeling a hug from my mother," Dannielynn told reporters as she stepped onto the red carpet.
The floor-length evening gown featured a plunging neckline, a daring back, and striking crystal straps. Sex symbol Anna Nicole Smith once wore this design paired with a series of diamond jewelry, stealing the spotlight at the Kentucky Derb event in 2004.
The next day, Dannielynn continued to pay tribute to her mother by wearing a series of gold jewelry from the Anna Nicole Smith collection, including a necklace, watch, and bracelet. She paired it with a light blue off-the-shoulder tulle princess-style dress.
Larry Birkhead kept all of Anna Nicole Smith's items for his daughter, despite the huge storage costs. Larry believes that when Dannielynn grows up, she will enjoy exploring Anna's closet and connecting with her mother through these mementos.
