Brooklyn Beckham Criticized For Refusing To Go Out Alone With Father David And Brothers.

Brooklyn Beckham turned down an invitation to join his father and younger brothers Romeo and Cruz on a fishing trip to celebrate Becks' 50th birthday last week.

On May 5, Becks shared on his personal page a series of photos of a fishing trip with his two sons, Romeo and Cruz, in Scotland. The Daily Mail reported that the former England midfielder had planned a short trip to Scotland six months ago and invited his eldest son, Brooklyn, to join him. However, the 26-year-old did not attend despite arriving in England on the day they departed early last week.

Many sources close to the Becks family believe that Brooklyn's decision was influenced by his wife, Nicola Peltz. "Brooklyn was invited to join a long time ago. He then came to London at the right time, but didn't go. David is still enjoying his time with Cruz and Romeo," a source said.

Despite being rejected by his son, Becks still showed affection for his eldest son by tagging Brooklyn in a selfie of the three of them. The Daily Mail commented that missing the trip must have been a disappointment for Brooklyn, who has previously shared his love of fishing with his father.

Becks revealed details of the technology-free trip, fully enjoying the sea air, where the three of them caught fresh seafood and enjoyed dinner with the help of a group of fishermen. The former England captain teased Romeo and Cruz as the two boys forced a smile because they were not allowed to use their phones and were in a simple room, far from their multi-million-pound luxury villas.

While in London, Brooklyn and his wife shared a series of photos of going out to eat, but none of them were with their family. Previously, it was reported that Brooklyn and Nicola wanted to celebrate their father's birthday privately but were turned down. A source close to Nicola, 30, told US website TMZ that they wanted to "meet privately" to avoid Romeo's girlfriend Kim Turnbull because the couple were said to be "having problems" with her.

Brooklyn and his wife did not appear at any of Becks' new age celebrations, including the big family party early on April 30 and the family trip to France on May 2. Both are said to have flown back to the US on the morning of May 3, before the main party to celebrate Becks' new age took place. The couple also did not attend Becks' early birthday party in late March.

Tensions between Brooklyn and his wife and the Becks family escalated "to the point of no reconciliation", according to Mirror. The British couple are said to have "disowned their daughter-in-law" because they believe she is the reason why Brooklyn is increasingly distant from his parents and siblings. In her posts celebrating her husband's birthday, Vic did not mention her eldest son as she usually does when he is absent, while Becks still tagged Brooklyn when sharing photos and emotions on the day he turned 18.
