The game of collecting and showing off luxury is never without yachts and supercars.

The Monaco Grand Prix 2025 continues to be the focus of the global elite when gathering a series of super yachts, supercars, that  and lavish moments on the Mediterranean coast. In a series of events on the sidelines of the prestigious F1 race, a prominent moment was the image of the McLaren Solus GT supercar displayed on the deck of the Mondomarine SaraStar yacht.

This special McLaren Solus GT is owned by a collector living in Spain and was designed based on inspiration from the legendary F1 model McLaren MP4/4 that helped Ayrton Senna win the championship in 1988. The car has a characteristic orange-white color scheme reminiscent of the Marlboro brand, a long-time sponsor of the McLaren-Honda racing team.

Developed by the MSO (McLaren Special Operations) personalization department, the McLaren Solus GT is a limited supercar exclusively for the racetrack. With a design of only 1 seat and a weight of about 1,000 kg, this super product is completely suitable to be placed neatly on the helipad of a luxury yacht.

The McLaren Solus GT uses a 5.2L naturally aspirated V10 engine, producing 840 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, combined with a 7-speed sequential gearbox according to LMP (Le Mans Prototype) standards. Thanks to that, the car only takes 2.5 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km/h, with a maximum speed exceeding 322 km/h.

The body is designed with an optimal aerodynamic system, including a Venturi tube chassis that creates a ground effect, providing up to 1,200 kg of downforce at high speeds. This helps the McLaren Solus GT grip the road exceptionally well, providing a driving experience like on a professional racetrack. In addition, the cockpit is designed in a sliding dome shape, integrated with a 3D-printed Titanium halo guard, and a monocoque chassis made from ultra-light carbon fiber.

Displaying supercars on yachts is not uncommon in Monaco. Previously, international tycoons have made an impression by bringing the Bugatti Chiron or Ferrari F40 onto the yacht deck, turning the Monaco GP racetrack not only into a place to compete in speed but also a display of the lavish lifestyle and passion for speed of the super-rich.
