Finally, Samsung has also sold the durable tablet Galaxy Tab Active 5 in the US.
Two years after the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro launched on the market, Samsung introduced its successor - the Galaxy Tab Active 5. Although this durable tablet was officially launched in the first half of January 2024, American customers have to wait more than a month to get their hands on them.
Billed as an “ultra-rugged tablet for business,” the Galaxy Tab Active 5 features significant performance improvements over the previous model as well as better durability and security.
Regarding price, Galaxy Tab Active 5 in the US has the lowest price of 548.99 USD. However, the price of the 5G version is higher, at 659 USD.
In terms of specifications, the Samsung tablet is powered by Samsung's Exynos 1380 processor, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage (expandable up to 1TB via microSD card).
Additionally, the durable tablet also has an 8-inch LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and a 120Hz refresh rate. Galaxy Tab Active 5 is IP68 certified, dust and water resistant (waterproof to a depth of 1.5m for 30 minutes).
In addition, the tablet can also withstand impact when dropped onto concrete from a height of 1.8m (meets military standard MIL-STD-810H). The S Pen that comes with the Galaxy Tab Active 5 is also water and dust resistant thanks to its IP68 rating. The device is equipped with a single 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
Finally, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 is powered by a 5,050 mAh battery (replaceable) and runs on Android 14 operating system.
