Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: More expensive but not much of a breakthrough?

Leaked sources say the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be a slight upgrade, but the price will increase sharply.

According to Android Police, some of the latest leaked information about the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is making fans disappointed. Despite some improvements in screen and weight, this folding phone seems to only bring normal hardware upgrades every year, while the selling price is expected to increase by 100 USD compared to previous generation.

According to sources from SmartPrix, Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be equipped with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 12GB RAM and 256GB, 512GB and 1TB memory options. However, the battery capacity and camera system are expected to remain unchanged compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 phone may not be much of a breakthrough.

This makes many people question the $100 price increase of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Are these small upgrades worth the money users have to spend?

However, there are still some notable bright spots on the Galaxy Z Fold 6, such as a wider secondary screen, improved resolution and lighter weight thanks to the titanium frame. However, whether these improvements are enough to convince users to upgrade to the new version is still a big question.

The fan community will probably have to wait until Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event to have a clearer view of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the real upgrades that this flagship brings.
