The back of the CMF Phone 1 has a rotating knob to attach accessories and the back is easily removable.
Nothing - a technology brand headquartered in London, England, is about to launch the first smartphone model from the CMF sub-brand in the low-cost segment on July 8, according to The Verge.
The company has revealed a series of unique customization capabilities for the CMF Phone 1, including a knob that can be used to attach accessories and a rear panel that can be easily changed.
The typical glowing backlight icon on Nothing Phone 1 and Phone 2 will not appear on this model. A short video of the knob on the back that looks similar to the aluminum alloy knob on the CMF Buds, allowing it to be removed to attach a strap or folding kickstand.
Does the rotary knob on CMF Phone 1 provide any other functions? No further information has been revealed about this, but this knob is reminiscent of the smart knob on the CMF Neckband Pro headset model, used to increase or decrease volume, playback and active noise cancellation.

The CMF Phone 1 will be available in three colors - Black/Grey, Blue and CMF by Nothing's signature Orange. The revealed images strongly suggest that the device will have an easily removable back cover.
It is unclear whether other companies produce replacement back covers for the CMF Phone 1, but if you look closer, it seems that this phone can attach other accessories such as a backup battery or a paper wallet sheet.
There's no word yet on whether removing the back will provide easier access to the CMF Phone 1's internals, including the battery, but the feature may focus more on customization. exterior and attaching additional accessories rather than improving interior repairability.
