This is Xiaomi MIX Fold 4: A folding phone model with a super powerful Leica camera, competing against the Galaxy Z Fold6

MIX Fold 4 and MIX Flip are expected to be launched by Xiaomi in the third quarter of this year.

According to rumors from May, Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 will become the thinnest folding phone on the market when launched, potentially surpassing the Honor Magic V3 - a model that will launch next week.

Recently, the official image of the MIX Fold 4 back with faux leather version (there may be a glass version) was leaked by leaker @evleaks on X. Note that this is considered a test version, so some details may change before launch.

Anyway, it seems that Xiaomi plans to improve compared to MIX Fold 3 by expanding the camera cluster of the successor version, taking up about a third of the back. However, MIX Fold 4 still has four rear cameras like its predecessor.

According to rumors, a 50 MP sensor supported by Leica Summilux lens will be the main camera of MIX Fold 4. According to previous rumors, the main camera will have optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 1/2-inch sensor. 1.55". The rear camera cluster also includes a 2x 60 MP telephoto lens with a 1/2.8" OmniVision OV60A sensor, a 12 MP super wide-angle camera and a 10 MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom capability.

Evan Blass confirmed that MIX Fold 4 will come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and battery capacity exceeding 5,000 mAh, both of which are upgrades compared to MIX Fold 3. According to recent certification, the device's battery will support charging 67W wire.

Additionally, the MIX Fold 4 is said to have achieved IPX8 certification, again surpassing its predecessor but only on par with competitors like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5. Finally, Evan Blass claims that the MIX Fold 4 will be less than 10mm thick, capable of competing with the Magic Vs3 and V3 that Honor will launch later this month.

Previous rumors said that MIX Fold 4 would launch with MIX Flip - Xiaomi's first clamshell-style folding phone - in the third quarter of this year. One source even mentioned a launch in July. Let's wait and see what happens.
