Famous Hollywood hairstylist Jesus Guerrero - Kylie Jenner's best friend, passed away suddenly on February 22 while in Dubai for work.
On Instagram on February 25, Kylie Jenner expressed her grief over her friend's sudden passing: "Jesus was not only my friend, but he was also the light in my life, a source of encouragement and comfort... Thank you, Jesus, for always being there for me, supporting me and being a close friend. The pain of losing you is unbearable. Love you so much. You were the best with outstanding talent".
The 27-year-old star shared photos and videos of her close friend Jesus Guerrero over nearly a decade of friendship, saying she will always hold in her heart every word, laugh, kindness and spirit of her best friend.
According to TMZ, Kylie Jenner is helping Jesus' family bring his body from Dubai to his hometown of Houston. She will also pay for his funeral. Kylie spent much of the weekend comforting Jesus' family and skipped the awards show with her boyfriend, actor Timothée Chalamet.
The family announced the passing of the famous Hollywood hairstylist on Instagram on Sunday, saying Jesus died suddenly in Dubai on February 22 at the age of 34. "We have shed many tears thinking back and wondering what else we could have done to have him by our side," the family shared.
Jesus Guerrero - the son of an immigrant family who had a difficult childhood - started working with Kylie Jenner in 2019. He also did hair for many Hollywood artists such as Katy Perry, Rosalía, Demi Moore, Kim Kardashian and Jessica Alba... Last week, Jesus traveled to Dubai with Jennifer Lopez for her concerts on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. J.Lo tagged Jesus Guerrero and her beauty team during the trip. It is not yet clear whether Jesus did the singer's hair for all of these performances.
In a post on Tuesday, Jennifer Lopez said she was still in shock over Jesus' passing. The singer paid tribute to the hairstylist as a gentle, kind, compassionate, quiet, humble, but very strong person. "I know your family is heartbroken, as are I and everyone who knew you," J.Lo wrote.
Billionaire star Kim Kardashian also shared her sad feelings on social media about the passing of her close hairstylist. Actress Jessica Alba posted a commemorative photo with the caption: "Jesus - you have the purest heart and soul."
