Oppo confirmed the global launch of the Find N5 on February 20 and shared images showing the most illustrative model of the phone.
The Chinese manufacturer has been teasing the device for the past few weeks, highlighting its water resistance and near-crease-free display, while comparing its thinness to the iPad Pro, Apple's thinnest product to date.
Oppo also posted a trailer for the Find N5, calling it "thin but powerful." The device is said to be around 4mm thick, surpassing the Honor Magic V3 - the thinnest foldable phone with a measurement of 4.35mm when unfolded.
The video also reveals some additional features such as a fingerprint sensor, notification button, and a reduced camera cluster. The device comes in black and white, without the purple leather back, which could be a China-exclusive model.
Meanwhile, popular X account Ice Universe also revealed real-life images showing the Find N5 is thinner than a media bar smartphone.
The smartphone market is all about thinness. Samsung recently mentioned the super-thin Galaxy S25 Edge, following reports that Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 17 Air in September. The device will replace the Plus model and is expected to be the thinnest iPhone ever. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes the iPhone 17 Air will measure 5.5mm at its thinnest point.
Thinness has always been a major improvement factor for phones every year. Foldable devices have often struggled to reduce thickness, but Oppo is said to be changing that, although the Find N5's battery is expected to be 6,000mAh. It will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, similar to the Galaxy S25 series, 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
