Alongside the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi has also introduced two new laptops, the REDMI Book Pro 14 and Pro 16 2025, in China.
Both laptops are powered by Intel's second-generation Core Ultra CPUs, improved displays, and enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
REDMI Book Pro 16.
REDMI Book Pro 16 features a sleek metal design, is 15.9mm thick, and weighs 1.88kg. It features a 3.1K (3072 x 1920) LCD display with a 165Hz refresh rate, 500 nits of brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. The display is VESA HDR 400 certified with high color accuracy, with a Delta E value of approximately 0.33.
Inside, the machine is equipped with an Intel Ultra 5 225H CPU (14 cores, 4.9 GHz) or Ultra 7 255H (16 cores, 5.1 GHz). Compared to the 2024 version, the new REDMI Book Pro 16 improves single-core performance by 21.6% and multi-core performance by 29.5%. It comes with 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, along with an additional M.2 slot for expanded storage.
The highlight of the REDMI Book Pro 16 is its impressive battery life, with a 99Wh battery for up to 30 hours of use. The included 140W GaN USB-C charger can charge the laptop to 54% in just 30 minutes and supports 120W phone charging. “Hurricane Cooling” system with dual 12V fans and three heat pipes improves heat conduction by 63.4% compared to the previous model.
REDMI Book Pro 14.
Meanwhile, the REDMI Book Pro 14 retains the same 15.9mm thickness as the REDMI Book Pro 16 but is lighter, weighing only 1.45kg. The 2.8K (2880 x 1800) display has 500 nits brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB coverage, and VESA HDR 400 certification.
The configuration of the REDMI Book Pro 14 is similar to the REDMI Book Pro 16, with Intel Ultra 5 225H or Ultra 7 255H CPU options and 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The single-core performance of the REDMI Book Pro 14 is increased by 18.5% and multi-core performance is increased by 28.2% compared to the previous version. The machine also features a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD and an additional M.2 slot.
The REDMI Book Pro 14's 80Wh battery provides up to 31 hours of use, while the 100W GaN charger can charge up to 51% in 30 minutes and supports 55W phone charging. The cooling system includes dual 12V fans and two heat pipes, supporting up to 70W of power.
Both laptops run Windows 11 (Chinese version) and integrate Xiaomi's AI PC engine, with 96 TOPS of AI computing power, increasing model performance by 200% and improving local image processing by 120%.
In terms of connectivity, both machines support Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, HDMI 2.1, 2 USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports and a 3.5mm audio jack. Additional features include XiaoAI voice assistant, HyperConnect for sharing between devices, 1080p camera, and Dolby Vision and Atmos support.
The REDMI Book Pro 14 starts at 5,699 yuan for the Ultra 5 model with 16GB of RAM, while the top-end Ultra 7 version is priced at 6,999 yuan. As for the REDMI Book Pro 16, the starting price is 6,499 yuan for the Ultra 5 model and goes up to 7,499 yuan for the Ultra 7 model.
Currently, Xiaomi has not announced plans to launch these laptops in the global market, but the company is preparing for the global launch of the Xiaomi 15 series, including the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, on March 2.
