Elon Musk fights with game company Ubisoft.

Elon Musk criticizes Assassin's Creed Shadows, while Ubisoft accuses American billionaire of hiring people to play the game for him.

Developer Mark Kern criticized Ubisoft on March 26 for "pouring money into streamers who promote terrorism", referring to streamer Hasan Piker's broadcast with an advertisement for Assassin's Creed Shadows. Hasan has been criticized for his support for the Houthi armed group in Yemen.

Billionaire Elon Musk later commented, agreeing: "More accurately, he is selling his conscience. Just for money, he promotes a bad game."

Ubisoft immediately responded to Musk, repeating the accusation that the American billionaire hired people to play the game for him. "You played Path of Exile 2 for him?", the X account of Assassin's Creed Shadows, published by Ubisoft, posted a response.

Elon Musk.

Ubisoft also mocked Mark Kern, mentioning the game he had been developing for years but never released, while emphasizing that their game had actually been released.

Musk did not comment but criticized Hasan for being a "coward" for blocking his account. He was once suspected of hiring Path of Exile 2 players to reach a high level, own the best equipment and make people believe that it was his personal achievement.

The American billionaire has never publicly commented on the above accusation, but private messages shared by the Niko Wrex account on YouTube show that Musk admitted to paying professional gamers in Path of Exile 2 and Diablo IV to farm his account.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is an action role-playing game set in 16th century Japan developed by Ubisoft. The game received a score of 82% on the aggregator site Metacritic but also faced criticism from gamers due to its character development and storyline.
