Musician Benny Blanco says he'll be Selena Gomez's househusband, cooking and taking care of her after work.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine released this week, Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez talked about their music projects, love and marriage plans. Benny, who proposed to Selena in December, said he's a family man and loves to cook. The 37-year-old musician is always ready to make Selena's favorite French fries and cheese in the middle of the night.
"I always know what she wants. I can feel it," Benny said of Selena's food preferences. "But sometimes she'll want something spontaneous, like a donut. It's fun to be able to put that on my menu. When she's recording, I like to go downstairs and make her tea and make her a little snack."
Benny Blanco also said that he enjoys cooking breakfast for Selena every day and feels happy when he sits down to eat breakfast with her and chats for about 30 minutes before going to work. "Those are the moments we get to spend together because we're both so busy with a lot of things," he said, adding that sometimes the two of them cook together, sometimes it's him or Selena.
Benny praised Selena for being a good cook, but the 31-year-old singer modestly said that she doesn't cook as well as her boyfriend. Selena revealed that food is her love language and Blanco is a talented chef.
When asked about their wedding plans, Benny joked that Selena was coming up with ideas every day, but the two were still enjoying the joy of being engaged and were in no rush to get married. Meanwhile, Selena sat next to him, smiling as she looked at the sparkling engagement ring on her hand. The singer said that she now wants to focus on her new album with Benny, where they can both convey their emotions to the world. Benny and Selena's album I Said I Love You First will be released on March 21, telling the love story of the couple. Selena said that her boyfriend was the one who helped her find her musical direction after 5 years since the release of the album Rare.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have known each other for over a decade, collaborating on several music projects before falling in love in the summer of 2023. Benny says he regrets not falling in love with Gomez sooner but believes everything happens for a reason. The couple now live together in their new $35 million home in Los Angeles.
