Mercedes-Benz launches electric G-Class.

Mercedes-Benz Vietnam launches the first all-electric SUV of the G-Class line, called the G 580 EQ Edition One.

The Mercedes-Benz G 580 EQ Edition One is an important milestone, bringing the off-road icon into the electrification era, while setting new standards for power, technology and class in the luxury off-road SUV segment in Vietnam.

Launched in 1979, the G-Class has become a global icon of luxury off-road SUVs. About 80% of G-Class vehicles ever produced are still in circulation, demonstrating the quality of craftsmanship and outstanding durability. With the G 580 EQ, Mercedes-Benz continues to inherit the legendary legacy, while opening up the future of emission-free off-road.

The exterior of the G 580 EQ Edition One retains the typical square design of the G-Class, combined with modern details: Black Panel grille / 20-inch AMG wheels / MANUFAKTUR logo and many personalized color options.

Luxurious interior with high-quality Nappa leather in two-tone gray - black, highlighted with outstanding blue stitching. The car is equipped with a series of convenient features: Active Multicontour seats with massage & ventilation / multi-color interior lighting system / 18-speaker Burmester® 3D sound system / New generation MBUX entertainment system.

Currently, only the first two G 580 EQ Edition One units are imported to Vietnam, belonging to the limited edition “EDITION ONE”, with a recommended price of 8.68 billion VND. The standard version is expected to be distributed by the end of 2025 with a price of about 7.75 billion VND.

Mercedes-Benz G 580 EQ Edition One is equipped with 4 independent electric motors for each wheel, providing a total capacity of 587 horsepower and maximum torque of 1,164 Nm. The car can travel a distance of 434 - 473 km according to WLTP standards, thanks to a 116 kWh lithium-ion battery integrated under the floor.

The G 580 EQ Edition One is not only powerful on the road but also possesses a series of advanced off-road technologies: G-Turn: 360-degree rotation in place on soft terrain / G-Steering: Significantly reduces turning radius / Offroad Crawl: Off-road cruise control / 850 mm wading ability, superior to the internal combustion engine version and 360° Camera with Transparent Bonnet technology, supporting easy terrain observation.

The vehicle has undergone testing in harsh conditions, from temperatures above 50°C in Africa to below -30°C in Sweden, ensuring off-road performance according to G-Class standards. The standard G 580 EQ version is expected to continue to be brought to the domestic market at the end of 2025.
